We are very happy to introduce our newest product, the Windstream Power Monitor. 

Windstream’s Power Monitor combines the function of a DC ammeter, voltmeter, watt meter, Amp hour and Watt hour meter all in one simple and easy to read monitor.

 It is designed to effectively display everything that is going on with your DC power system, be it the Human Power Generator or the Bike Power Generator.

It is easy to use and takes the guesswork out of your human power electrical production.  You can now measure and record the amount of power you are creating – both instantaneously and cumulatively over time.

It is designed to clip onto the handlebars of your bicycle when using the Bike Power Generator or it can also sit on a table if you are using the Human Power Generator. 

There are two connectors attached to the Power Monitor – one to the generator itself and then the other connector to a 12V deep cycle battery or an off the shelf power pack. 

We offer a range of battery end connectors in order to make the Power Monitor as universal as possible.  It can easily be adapted to different size power packs or battery posts. 

Description of Measured Values

(Current) Amps & Peak Amps – A and Ap
This is the charging current.  Only current flowing from the generator to the battery is measured.  The Amps value displayed is the average current over the last screen update interval.  Peak Amps value (Ap) displayed in the maximum current drawn since the meter’s startup. 

(Voltage) Volts & Minimum Volts V, Vm
Displayed Volts value is the average voltage over the last screen update interval. The displayed minimum Volts value (Vm) is the minimum voltage measured since the start up screen ended.

(Energy) Kilo Watt-hours KWh
Displayed value is the total energy delivered in Kilo Watt-hours (1000 watt-hours) since the start up screen ended.

(Charge) Amp –hours Ah
Displayed value is the total charge in Amp- hours delivered since the start up screen ended. 

(Power) Watts, W
Displayed value is the average power delivered in Watts (V x A = Watts) over the last screen update interval.

The Windstream’s Power Monitor is designed to operate in one of two modes. 

Mode 1 is to monitor instantaneous output without storing the cumulative data.

Mode 2 is designed to record cumulative power production data from user to user or one person’s recorded output over a period of time.
